Crochet Giraffe – Meet Bobo

I’ll admit this has been on the to do list for a long time, but I’m so glad I finally got around to doing it.  This Crochet Giraffe pattern was by Emma from I Love Buttons By Emma.  The pattern was really easy to follow.  I used a 4mm hook rather than a 2mm like the pattern calls for because my hands just can’t work with anything smaller than 3.5mm. Also instead of using various colours to make him stripy I used Lily’s Sugar n Cream Ombre Moondance.  This was the first time I had ever used cotton. I’ve only ever used acrylic, mainly because it’s cheap.  I think I will find it hard to go back to acrylic now, don’t get me wrong it has it’s uses but the difference was just incredible. Here are some pics (and even a banana for scale)
